A celebration of Malcolm Ward's life

Funeral service is at Kent & Sussex Crematorium on Wednesday 21st December 2022 at 12:15 pm followed by a a celebration of Malcolm's Life at The Brecknock Arms, Bells Yew Green where we hope as many people as possible will join us.  If you play an instrument please bring it so we can have a good sing around in Malc's honour.

Please arrive at the Crematorium at 12.00 to allow time to be seated before the celebration begins.

The following is an extract from Malc's wishes regarding his funeral.

"When I finally succumb to the Grim Reaper, it would please me if there was no mourning, just be happy for the pleasures I have had in life....I don't want anyone dressed in black, except for the Ravensbourne Morris, where it is part of their kit.  Ask as many Morris Men (and women) as will come to be in kit, and have the congregation dress in joyful colours.  I want the funeral to be a celebration of my life.  Then when all is done with, have a bloody good wake, with lots of dancing and singing and the beer flowing freely"

If you are able to attend the funeral it would be appreciated if you could notify Malcolm's daughter, Sarah by email sarah@lawlerdavis.co.uk so we can make sure there is enough beer!

For those unable to attend the service will be streamed live with a viewer capacity of 150.

We would love as many as possible to join us afterwards for a celebration at The Brecknock Arms in Bells Yew Green.  There is limited parking at the pub itself however there is plenty of on street parking nearby and if all else fails the village hall just down the road towards the train station also can be used.
