A song and a tune

Created by Chris one year ago

Malcolm was a bloody good player of the Duet Concertina my memory in this regard is that there was a superb yet difficult tune called `Springtime in Battersea` I gave Malc a recording of this piece for the duet he listened and charactistically said bastard thats not an easy one, anyhow he went away and it must have been a year later that he played it just for me beautifull.

We shared moments singing at the late lamented Whittlebury song and ale late into the night for many years. I was there at Tenterden this year as the reserve master in comand Malc had asked for that should his health let him down it did not when he ran the Maritime and Shanty shout in the Tenterden club for the last time.

I last sang with Malc at Harwich this year he stoically did not give up until the very last.

Malcolm liked a good shanty and that is how I will sing him down

Good men are gone and Malc gone too, Away you hilo!
